Launch of OnePlus 12 in India: Price and Availability Hints Provided
OnePlus is all set to launch its OnePlus 12 flagship smartphone tomorrow on January 23rd in India at the Smooth Beyond Belief event. We already know everything about the device as it has already been launched in China, but the India-specific price and availability details are still under wraps.
All should be revealed tomorrow, but ahead of the launch, tipster Abhishek Yadav (@yabhishekd) hinted at the Indian pricing of the flagship OnePlus 12 device. According to his Twitter post, the 12GB variant of the OnePlus 12 could cost Rs 64,999, while the better-specced 16GB model could sell for Rs 69,999 in the Indian market. As for the price in China, the OnePlus 12 retails starting at CNY 4,299 (roughly Rs. 51,000) for the base 12GB variant.
In a separate message, he also revealed the availability information. He says the OnePlus 12 might be available from January 30, while the OnePlus 12R might be available next February. These leaks are in line with some of the previous leaks, but should be taken with a grain of salt until OnePlus officially reveals the details.
OnePlus 12, 12R specifications
OnePlus has confirmed that the OnePlus 12 will feature a 6.82-inch QHD+ (1440 x 3168) OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, has 12GB of RAM and 256GB of base storage. The phone has a triple camera setup with wide, ultra-wide and telephoto cameras, all tuned by Hasselblad. It also has a large 5,400mAh battery that supports 100W fast charging.
The OnePlus 12R, on the other hand, could get the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, the same one that powers the OnePlus 11. It should have 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, and should have a 6.7-inch 120Hz OLED panel.
